Senior Pastor David Rocker

David Rocker is a native of Atlanta, Georgia and serves as the senior pastor of The Connection Church.  Before becoming senior pastor. David served The Connection Church in various capacities.  He has served as the associate pastor, praise and worship leader, and sound technician.

David Rocker graduated from Auburn University and went on to play professional football in the NFL - four years (1991-1994) with the Los Angeles Rams. While playing he rededicated his life back to the Lord. After witnessing a lack of boldness and zeal in the Body of Christ David began to encourage teammates along with their families to attend bible study which grew steadily during his involvement. While deepening his faith and love for God. David developed a passion for spiritual GROWTH through discipleship. Thus laying the ground work for a life in ministry.

David holds a bachelor’s degree in Adult Education from Auburn University and a Masters degree in Leadership (MAL) from Luther Rice College and Seminary. He received his ministry license from Covenant Ministry International (CMI) and was ordained by Pastor Gary Taylor of Open Word Ministries, Inc. David also holds a broadcasting degree from the Connecticut School of Broadcasting. David is married to childhood friend Constance. They are proud parents and grandparents.

Connie Rocker (First Lady)

Lady Connie Rocker is a native of Atlanta, GA and a loving, anointed, dedicated, and supportive wife, daughter, mother, grandmother, and friend.  After high school, she attended Atlanta Area Technical School, followed by a career in the legal field until her retirement from Clayton County Superior Courts in 2019.  

Lady Connie is highly involved in community service.  She served several years on the Clayton County Citizen Review Panel, and was one of the first to be trained and appointed as a State of Georgia Court Appointed Special Advocate (CASA).   CASAs speak as advocates for neglected, abused, and abandoned children in court.  She is a regular volunteer with the Atlanta Food Bank. She is the Vice-President for doGOODthings, Inc. which is a non-profit that strives to make an impact in the communities by providing the necessary tools to help youth attain their goals and by blessing the less fortunate through Thanksgiving Baskets, Toys for Tots, etc. She is also the Vice-President of Gibraltar Ministries, Inc., another non-profit which is an outreach ministry that focuses on spiritual growth.  

When it comes to administration, she truly has the gift.  She served as Church Administrator and the Chief Financial Officer for over ten years at her previous church.  In addition to being the First Lady, she developed and implemented the Women’s Ministry (Connect Ladies), and Daughters of Grace Ministry (12-22). She also ministers through song on occasion.

As Operations Director, she wears many hats and ensures that TCC’s day to day operation runs smoothly.  

Her favorite scripture is Psalms 37:4 which she believes with all of her heart. In her spare time, she enjoys cooking, dancing, shopping, traveling, gardening, spending time with family and friends, and being Coco to the grandchildren.  Lady Connie resides in the suburbs of Atlanta, GA with her husband, Pastor David Rocker.  They have five (5) adult children, and four grandchildren, Carson, Carina, Malia Reese, and Amyra.

Operations Manager

Brandy Sympreux

Brandy is an accomplished operations and business leader with more than 20 years of experience leading teams, managing complex business operations, and implementing strategic initiatives across highly regulated, complex organizations. She holds a Master of Public Health degree and a Bachelor of Applied Science degree, complemented by advanced leadership studies. Throughout her career, she has built a reputation for developing people, improving organizational effectiveness, and creating systems that enable organizations to operate with excellence.

Brandy is known for her collaborative leadership style, her ability to build meaningful relationships, and her genuine passion for serving people. She believes effective operations provide the foundation that enables ministry to flourish and equips leaders to serve with excellence.

As Operations Manager Brandy will report directly to Pastor David Rocker while working alongside Director Connie Rocker to help advance the operational vision of The Connection Church. She is honored for the opportunity to serve alongside the leadership and congregation of The Connection Church and looks forward to helping advance the ministry's vision through servant leadership and operational excellence.

Church Administrator

Elaine LaFavers

Elaine LaFavers, along with her husband Garry, have been with the church for over 30 years. She continues to faithfully and diligently serve the church on a daily basis in many different areas. Elaine has a big heart and goes out of her way to show love towards our seniors and babies at TCC. She is always willing to lend a helping hand. She is the Communion Team Leader and serves on the Hospitality and Finance Teams as well.
